White Mountain Snow Day Activities

The East Coast sure is getting slammed with snow this winter! It’s beautiful, but it’s cold and can be cumbersome. This is why some people choose not to travel during the winter months. Or, if they do travel, it’s to get far away from the snow. Granted, there are those people who adore winter weather. The rain, snow, thunder and lightning, strong winds, whatever winter has in store – they’re ready and they can’t wait!

To those of you who are like that, we welcome you with open arms. We know you’ll enjoy your visit here, whether you’re stuck indoors because of the bad weather, or get to go outdoors and enjoy it.

To those of you who are apprehensive about traveling to a North Conway B&B during the snowy weather, we want to tell you why winter is one of the best times to visit.

Outdoor Winter Sports Of course, one of the main attractions of the White Mountains during the winter is the variety of outdoor activities. Enjoy a day of downhill skiing at one of our many ski resorts. Take a long, reflective walk in the snow with some snowshoes and see what kind of epiphanies you have in your beautiful surroundings. Haven’t ice skated since you were a kid? Why not give it a try now? Bring on the nostalgia!

Other Activities Available to you in The White Mountains are many interesting and quaint shops. And, guess what? The shopping is tax free! What better incentive can you have to check out the antique, clothing, novelty, and gift shops around here? If shopping isn’t your thing, we would be happy to educate you on your surroundings. Take a trip to one of our museums or take a sightseeing tour. There’s a lot of history on the east coast and plenty to see.

While there are many activities to keep you busy during the day, you don’t have to worry about being bored once the sun sets. We have plenty of nighttime activities to entertain you. No, this isn’t a big city that never sleeps, but we do have enough to keep you busy until bed time! Take for example, our live theater. Quality acting, great productions and artistic sets are sure to impress even the most critical observer. Just because it is winter doesn’t mean you have to be a homebody. A visit to the White Mountains will inspire and invigorate you. The outdoor sports are some of the best in the country. And, if you’re not a sports enthusiast, there are plenty of other options for you.

If you happen to be a homebody type person, we invite you to come be a homebody with us. Instead of holing up for days on end in your home and getting cabin fever, come spend some time at The Bernerhoff Inn. Our rooms are cozy, with fireplaces, comfy beds, and superb views. You’ll also enjoy our exquisite cuisine and spa services. Give us a call today to reserve your room!
