Enjoy a Relaxing Wellness Retreat in the White Mountains

Spring is almost upon us and we’re pretty excited! We’re doing our best to be patient and have been “enduring” the crazy winter weather by enjoying fun winter sports—and hot cocoa in front of a cozy fire hasn’t hurt either.

Needless to say, we know how to enjoy the winters around here. But we are so excited for the spring that we just had to tell you about one of the best ways to experience it around here.

Springtime is one of our most beautiful seasons. We have some of the most colorful and fragrant displays of wildflowers this country has to offer. The exquisiteness of the White Mountains makes this the perfect place for a wellness retreat.

Holistic practitioners tell us that spring and autumn are the perfect times of year to detoxify. This is because nature is doing its own version of detoxifying during these times. This is especially true during the spring; the snow is melting, the air becomes crisp and clear, and the water in the streams flows free.

You may have experienced the feeling of wanting to renew during the spring—its called spring cleaning. We can’t help it. This is the perfect time of year to have the “out with the old and in with the new” attitude.

If you want to enjoy a deeper level of renewal, you may enjoy a wellness retreat. There are many already-done-for-you wellness programs in the White Mountain area. These retreats offer certified coaches to assist you and most are located in spas.

Might We Suggest

One thing that holds some people back from a wellness retreat is the cost. Well, we want to tell you that a springtime transformation trip doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg. There are plenty of ways to relax and rejuvenate in the White Mountains and you can create your own wellness retreat. Here are some things we would suggest to make this “homemade” wellness retreat one to remember.

  • Get a massage Massage is a great way to help the body detoxify, let go of tension, and remove any negative emotions or blocked energy and lymph fluid in your body.

  • Nature walking The White Mountains have some of the most beautiful hiking trails you’ll ever find.Breathe in the fresh air as you walk through forests with beautiful streams and waterfalls.
  • Meditate in beautiful surroundings Experts say meditation is one of the key components of transformation. We agree, and think that doing so in the gorgeous surroundings of the White Mountains will make the transformation even more profound.
  • Eat detoxifying, healthful foods While you want to focus on letting go of the old, you also want to replenish with healthful, seasonal foods. Spring foods are light yet filling and leave you feeling energized.
