Artists search for inspiration. Some find it in music, a child’s laughter, a good book, or by looking at the work of other artists. If you’re an artist and you’ve been struggling to find some inspiration lately, we have a suggestion. Why not visit the White Mountains in New Hampshire?
The White Mountains are the perfect place to find inspiration and exercise your artistic expression. It really doesn’t matter what type of artist you are or what you’re looking for. Here are just a few things you can find in New Hampshire’s White Mountains that any artist will appreciate.
Spring is almost upon us and we’re pretty excited! We’re doing our best to be patient and have been “enduring” the crazy winter weather by enjoying fun winter sports—and hot cocoa in front of a cozy fire hasn’t hurt either.
Needless to say, we know how to enjoy the winters around here. But we are so excited for the spring that we just had to tell you about one of the best ways to experience it around here.
Springtime is one of our most beautiful seasons. We have some of the most colorful and fragrant displays of wildflowers this country has to offer. The exquisiteness of the White Mountains makes this the perfect place for a wellness retreat.
Most people take vacations during the winter, partially because of the time off they get for the holidays and because the kids tend to get quite a bit of time off from school between November and March.
A lot of times, though, people choose to go somewhere warm. Why? Well, when you live in snow, drive in snow, and work in snow, the beautiful, white, flaky substance can be a bit overwhelming. But, as we all know - the snow is something that can be enjoyed, too.
And, that’s where an experience at our White Mountains B&B will serve you well.
Staying in a White Mountains B&B will help you get away from it all, relax, and have some fun. The snowy weather is good for skiing, of course, but if skiing isn’t your thing, there’s much more that the White Mountains have to offer you.
The East Coast sure is getting slammed with snow this winter! It’s beautiful, but it’s cold and can be cumbersome. This is why some people choose not to travel during the winter months. Or, if they do travel, it’s to get far away from the snow. Granted, there are those people who adore winter weather. The rain, snow, thunder and lightning, strong winds, whatever winter has in store – they’re ready and they can’t wait!
To those of you who are like that, we welcome you with open arms. We know you’ll enjoy your visit here, whether you’re stuck indoors because of the bad weather, or get to go outdoors and enjoy it.
To those of you who are apprehensive about traveling to a North Conway B&B during the snowy weather, we want to tell you why winter is one of the best times to visit.
Have you heard the news? The Northeast is expecting to be hit with a “snow hurricane”. We’re not sure about you, but this is somewhat of a new concept for us. We’ve dealt with our share of blizzards in the past…but a “snow hurricane”? That sounds ominous, doesn’t it?
If you have plans to visit a Jackson NH B&B sometime this winter, you will most likely experience a snow day or two, whether they come from a “snow hurricane” or not. For some folks, the idea of a snow day is an excuse for a cozy weekend indoors.
It’s February, and it’s cold, snowy, and wet. Some people have a hard time coping during this time of year. They feel shut up and get a horrible case of cabin fever. “There’s nothing to do” is a common complaint. Some try to pass the time with movies or a good book, but after a while even those activities begin to feel stale.
Don’t suffer any longer! Take a long weekendand get away from it all. Where should you go? No, you don’t need to spend a ton of money and take a trip to some tropical island. There’s plenty to do and see right here in NH. In fact, the White Mountains area is one of the most beautiful in the country. Besides the scenery, there is an endless supply of things to do around here. Let’s take a look at just a few.
You’re engaged – Congratulations! Now comes the fun part of planning your wedding. You’ll need to think about the flowers, caterer, venue, music, cake….seems a little overwhelming, doesn’t it? Many think so and have decided to elope instead of having an elaborate wedding.
