MAY 2, 3, & 4 2008 ~SWING INTO SPRING!~ We begin Friday night with welcoming cocktails. Then it is all about Fondue! Chef will demonstrate our famous Cheese Fondue, followed by Tableside Caesar Salad, then onto Surf and Turf Fondue and finish with Chocolate Fondue. During the evening, we will do wine tasting and wine pairing with our dinner. Saturday we will do a delicious dinner party. Our hands on recipes will include fresh seasonal soups, strudel or homemade breads, delightful salads, entree of seasonal fish. We can utilize ramps, fiddleheads, rhubarb! Everything seasonal and FRESH. We will work on presentation, ease of preparation, and have lots of fun. Sunday will be an elegant brunch. You will see crepes used in a variety of ways, creative seasonal sauces and more. We encourage requests for specific recipes. Just give June a call to discuss what you would like to see. The class "menu" is not finalized until about 3 weeks before the actual date so please send in your requests!!

A Taste of The Mountains Cooking School is designed for lovers of fine food who wish to broaden their practical knowledge of creative and healthy cuisine. The school, which operates each spring, winter and late fall truly offers students a "taste of the mountains" in a format that combines instruction, hands on experience and relaxation. All courses include instruction lodging, homemade breakfast and five-course gourmet luncheons and dinners each day, complemented by suitable wines; and a wine tasting seminar is included in the program. The cooking school also features themed day courses with a variety of chefs, styles and cuisine. Some past chefs have featured breads and doughs, seafood, from the garden, unusual edibles and much more. The best part of course is enjoying your creations and taking the recipes and instructions home to try on your family and friends.
